About Tom Payne

Tom Payne is a dedicated and experienced residential mortgage lending professional with more than forty years in the mortgage industry. Few active MLO’s have this length of service to the profession. As a seasoned business professional, Tom has developed a deep understanding and an extensive expertise in residential home lending throughout his professional career. As both an independent mortgage lender and a small business owner who employs a strong team of like-minded mortgage professionals, Tom understands just how important his role is when it comes to his clients and their dreams of owning a home. Tom’s beginnings in the industry extend as far back as the mid 70’s, first working for a commercial bank, American National of Michigan and then on to First Federal Savings & Loan Association. Shortly after coming on board with the S&L, he was appointed to manage the largest mortgage production office in the Association. With ten years of banking experience Tom moved into mortgage banking and quickly became Vice President for St. Joseph Mortgage Company and then on to V.P. for The Lambrecht Company. In the early 90’s Tom began to explore other opportunities and became CEO of Glenwood Financial, and opened offices throughout Michigan, Indiana, Florida, Nevada and California. He successfully went on to build his own book of business based on service and relationships. As an expert team player and a professional collaborator, Tom understood early on just how important it was for him to connect with his clients on a deeper level than ever before. Tom is a NMLS instructor in both pre and post licensing and has authored several articles on mortgage lending and real estate that have been published in several national publications. He also acts as a consultant to both the mortgage and real estate professions. In 2022 Tom rejoined Home Funding Corporation in Las Vegas, NV. His area of specialties are Manufactured Home Financing, Construction Loans, Reverse Mortgages, and mortgage loans to the Medical Community. Further, recognizing the importance Reverse Mortgage's provide, they are commonly used as a financial tool and there are few that understand them better. Tom continues to search far and wide to recruit some of the top mortgage professionals in Clark County, NV. He works to hand-select his own group of loan officers, processors, and support staff to ensure they can deliver to clients a comprehensive end to end lending experience.
