As an independent broker, I am able to discount my fees. Many brokerages (the larger big name firms) do NOT allow their agents to discount their commissions. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and Ventura County Coastal Association of Realtors. My first career out after graduating in International Studies from Brigham Young University (2000) was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Getting a strong start financially was helpful because since that time, I have owned, sold, purchased, and managed residential and commercial real estate. I understand the paradigm of business owners, investors, homeowners, fund managers, and so on. In 2004, I started my real estate sales career when I joined a small Coldwell Banker franchise. In 2008, I became a “broker” under the California Department of Real Estate, and at that time established my independent brokerage “The HAMM Team”. Since then, I have also obtained a law degree and passed the California State Bar Exam. I enjoy all aspects of the real estate business. As a Real Estate Broker, I get to work on all aspects of sales and transactions including contract negotiation, legal developments compliance issues and related legal issues, management, investment, and much more.
