Vancouver’s Rental Market in Early-Spring

Location
Vancouver
Publish Date
2023/03/23

Rental prices for unfurnished one-bedroom units have decreased for the second month in a row in Metro Vancouver, falling to $2,208 in March. While prices have decreased in the region overall, the City of Vancouver has become the most expensive place to rent an apartment in Canada. Prices for unfurnished one-bedroom units have dropped in virtually every other city in the region, except for West Vancouver and Richmond. North Vancouver is the third-most-expensive city to rent in, with Burnaby being the fourth-priciest despite prices falling slightly. Uncertainty remains about whether rental prices will continue to rise or return to previous levels in Canada's major rental markets.
