Smaller, affordable homes are heading back to the market

Smaller, more affordable homes between 750 and 1,750 sq ft are making their way onto the housing market. The increase is a good sign representing 34.9% of homes for sale in South Florida in August, ↑ 9.1% YoY. Construction of affordable homes has lagged in recent years, and buyers at all price levels have entered the bidding wars.For a variety of reasons, more people are starting to list smaller homes, which made up 34.5% of the market in July, ↑ 8.6% YoY. The housing market remains competitive and a seller's market, but only the number of offers has decreased.
