Florida Passes Affordable Housing Bill to Address Housing Crisis

Florida has passed the Live Local Act, a >$700M affordable housing package aimed at addressing the state's housing crisis. The bill provides tax breaks to homebuilders and millions of dollars in direct funding to the state's housing programs to create safe and affordable housing units.The package invests: - $252M for the State Housing Initiatives Program - $259M for the State Apartment Incentive Loan Program The bill also includes $100M in non-recurring funds for gap financing and $100M for the Florida Hometown Heroes Program.
