A wild housing market is forcing many Seattle-area home buyers to pay $300K-$500K over the asking price.Homes are getting snatched up hours after they go on sale, and open houses bring so many people. It’s been tough for buyers for the past 4-yr, but in the last 4-mo, it’s been the most difficult market. Just recently, in Kirkland, a home sold for $500K over asking, and in Bellevue, a home listed at $1.5M, sold for $2.4M. With 20 people making offers on a home, most buyers in the region are getting outbid.
