Brampton drops from 9th to 13th-most-expensive city for rentals

In May 2023, Brampton dropped from 9th to 14th place on the list of Canada's 35 most expensive cities for rentals. The average rent for a one-bedroom unit was $1,969 and for a two-bedroom unit it was $2,469. The annual rate of inflation for asking rents in Canada was 6.5% and rents increased by 0.6% month-over-month in May for a Canadian average of $2,014. Oakville was the most expensive midsize market with an average rent of $3,373.
