Located down Cambie Street and along 16th avenue, Mount Pleasant is Southeast of Vancouver and known as a more up-and-coming neighborhood from what used to be in the early 1920s (it used to be quite industrialized due to the Canadian Pacific Railway. Walk: Mount Pleasant is a fantastic neighborhood for walking as it is considered close to many nearby amenities with many residences scoring a high walk score. In addition, Mount Pleasant is walkable to many main transit routes and sky train stations. Bus: Mount Pleasant has many bus routes with many reliable times and convenient stops. Train: Mount Pleasant is central to Cambie Street, which is one of the main streets that the Canada-Line Skytrain runs along. Built-in 2010 for the emergence of the Olympics, the Canada-line also runs South to the airport. Bike: Biking is another popular mode of transportation for the Mount Pleasant area. However, it is to be aware that, although a nicer neighborhood, bike theft is a common problem for Vancouver so bike locking is strongly recommended. Car: Many citizens own a car in Mount Pleasant, however, there is not a faily big need for a car considering the high-velocity of amenities in the area.
