One online lender requires borrowers to draw their full approved HELOC amount upfront, with interest charged on that initial balance and an origination fee.
Its origination fee can reach ~5% of the initial draw, capped at $12K; most borrowers won't need an appraisal fee because property valuations are automated.
The lender generally requires a credit score of 600, or 680 for an investment property or second home; some property types are ineligible.
In most US locations, loans start at $15K, and borrowers can prequalify without affecting their credit score before reviewing a personalized rate quote.
Applications are online only, with prequalification available in five minutes; borrowers in counties allowing electronic signatures may receive funding in five business days.

The avg. 30-yr fixed refinance rate was in the low-7% range as of October 29, giving homeowners a benchmark for comparing offers.
A common rule of thumb suggests considering refinancing when your new rate is one percentage point below your existing rate, while weighing upfront costs.
A cash-out refinance replaces your loan with a larger one and provides the difference in cash; homeowners typically need ~20% equity or more.
Refinance closing costs can run from ~2% to ~6% of the loan amount; review your loan estimate for lender, appraisal, and other fees.
Homeowners can compare offers from their current lender and others; some lenders may waive part of the closing costs as an incentive to stay.
