Supplement Plan G offers broad coverage for eligible enrollees with original federal health coverage, including Part A deductibles and Part B excess charges.
The high-deductible version has lower premiums than regular Plan G, but enrollees must meet a $2.95K deductible, excluding premiums, in 2026 before benefits begin.
Both versions cover Part B coinsurance and copays, but neither covers the Part B deductible; the high-deductible version pays benefits after its deductible.
Before choosing, compare premiums and ask insurers about past premium increases. Switching to regular Plan G later can involve a health review.
Plan G isn't offered in every state, and premiums vary by location and insurer. Compare local options and explore assistance with out-of-pocket costs.
