Firstly, let me tell you why I chose this very rewarding job. My personal experiences with real estate agents in my own country were not great; they seemed unmotivated and quite honestly not on the side of their clients. Initially on looking for a house here in Canada, I was met with negativity with the first realtor that I employed to help me. With my finances as they were, it seemed that I would never be able to get my foot in the door of the home market. But I was determined to take that step. Finally after a lot of searching, I was introduced to the ‘right’ REALTOR® and she was able to guide me through the process with compassion, understanding and the belief that I would be able to find myself and my family a home. As a perfectionist, I barely let the new agent do her job! I was always one step ahead; from searching listings to researching how to arrange my own mortgage. I was fascinated by the process. She didn't mind at all that I was so upfront and in fact, recommended that I should start my own career in Real Estate because she was so impressed with my motivation. In the end I bought a home for almost twice the price that I was originally thinking of! After much thought and encouragement from my Realtor, I decided that I, too, would like to make a difference in the Real Estate Market. There are no hard tasks for me!
