Northern Virginia Markets See Spike in Home Sale Prices

The DC metro real estate market surged in April with pending home sales up 9.3% year-over-year and new listings rising 7.1%. Active listings increased 5.3%, and homes sold quickly with a median of eight days on the market. Median sale prices rose slightly overall to $661,000, with Arlington seeing a 14.7% increase to $928,000. Fairfax County prices also grew, while some areas showed mixed median and average price changes.
