Los Angeles County’s 2026 assessment roll reached a record $2.272 trillion, up 4.42% from last year, generating over $27 billion in property-tax revenue for local services. Growth was driven by new construction, property transfers, and a 2% inflation adjustment under Proposition 13. Despite 2025 wildfires, the property-value base expanded, with nearly 2.4 million taxable parcels assessed. The Board of Supervisors will allocate the new revenue.
