Centre Wellington Council has recognized Ontario's housing crisis and supports the Township playing a defined role in addressing it. With a 1.9% rental vacancy rate and 605 households in core housing need, the Township plans to develop a Housing Action Plan, explore a Housing Advisory Committee, seek housing funding from Wellington County, and assess staffing needs. These strategies will be included in the 2026 Budget and Business Plan.
