The Canadian government, via CMHC, is investing over $81.5 million to build 159 new rental homes in Toronto through the Apartment Construction Loan Program. The Vivant at Bedford Park project, a nine-storey energy-efficient rental building, is underway near North York and expected to finish by fall 2027. The ACLP aims to create 131,000 rental homes nationwide, with $23.35 billion already committed to over 59,000 units.
