After all, what will you talk about when there is no experience? There is a lot to talk about. It is a myth that your bio is only about your past experiences. A Real Estate bio consists of a lot of different sections. As a new agent, you still have a lot to talk about. The key to writing a killer REALTOR® bio for new Real Estate agents is elaborating on skills, personality traits, values, and philosophy. This article will go through the tips you can use to write a REALTOR® bio for your brand-new Real Estate business to attract a potential buyer.

Why Have A Bio?

These days, most people, regardless of their generation, have to use modern technologies. They need to use mainly the internet to run their lives. Real Estate, a pretty local market, and business are no exception. People contemplating buying or selling a house will search online for an agent. An agent who knows the area and seems trustworthy. How? By visiting the agents on social media, brokerages’ websites, or agents’ websites. First, they must have a general understanding of the agent. This is where they will be looking for a Real Estate agent bio.

First Impression

As a new agent, how you enter the industry and what kind of first impression you make are critical. Your bio is one of the first places you get to introduce yourself and build trust. Therefore, you should be extra careful while designing your bio. New agents do not enjoy the benefits of referrals and testimonials. They have nothing in the past as experience to highlight. It would be best to focus on other things you can use to create an image of yourself.

Focus on your abilities and intrapersonal features. Motivation, perseverance, an eye for detail, caring for others, putting potential client needs first, and having a win-win mentality are a few of the characteristics you need as a Real Estate agent. Having such a focus should set you on your way.

Real Estate Bio for New Agents: Qualities

As mentioned above, your Real Estate bio is not just about your past experiences. For your audience to trust you, they need to make sure:

You Are Familiar With The Area

It does not matter if you are buying or selling. Real Estate is a pretty local business. You need to have a decent knowledge of your farming area. Emphasizing your familiarity with the neighborhood’s local amenities and facilities, schools, etc., will help assure prospective clients you are the REALTOR® they need.

Understand What the Clients Want

You can be one of the most knowledgeable agents in the world and still fail at making your clients happy. It is frustrating to see that an agent does not know what the client has in mind. As a REALTOR®, you need to try and understand what they need and want, not what you would want for them. Therefore, you must assure your ideal client that you will try to understand them and start working. Let them see you care for them and that they come first.

Are you Motivated Enough to Put in What it Takes to Bring Them The Best Deal?

The best REALTOR® in the world is the worst option if they are not motivated to create the best experience for the clients. You might be new to the business and lack experience, but that does not stop you from trying hard for your potential customers and making an effort to make them happy. Your clients need to see that you want the job. That you want to help them and cannot wait to start.

Have the Necessary Knowledge

A Real Estate agent must not have much experience but must be knowledgeable. You need to have your knowledge up-to-date and show you are familiar with marketing and business concepts. That shows that you know what you are doing and if given the opportunity, with the motivation you have in your arsenal, can make the clients happy.

First Person or Third

This is one of the hot debates among REALTORS®. Many believe a real estate agent bio should be in 1st person POV, while others believe 3rd person POV is a better option.

It is up to you, and there are no rules here. It is a matter of preference, however:

1St person POV is more friendly and tries to establish a more personal connection with the client using pronouns like “I” and “me.”

3rd person POV tends to be more formal and is usually used to demonstrate professionalism in large corporate real estate websites with many agents.

Considering the points above, you might have to go with the 1st person POV, but that is untrue. Our advice for the new Real Estate agents is to go with the 1st person’s POV if this aligns with your brand and if you can convey authenticity.

Real Estate Bio for New Agents: Parts

Your professional bio consists of many different parts that elaborate on your qualifications:

Your Farming Area

As an agent, you cannot target everybody. Apart from the fact that a new agent can’t cover large areas and many places simultaneously, it is wrong. Spreading yourself too thin will weaken your familiarity with your farming area. Therefore, in your bio, you should talk about the area you are familiar with and provide your services. Make sure your audience understands you know the area inside out.

Your Target Audience or Niche

Like the point above, you cannot target everybody. There should be a particular group of people who share a very specific need you specialize in. Let us say your niche is single moms living in a specific neighborhood. You could be the expert and the go-to Real Estate agent for this group. Make sure you let your audience know who you professionally serve.

Training You Have Received in Real Estate Professionally.

When you have no significant experience as a new Real Estate agent, you should focus on other parts of your qualification, like your professional training and certificates. Elaborate on the courses you have taken and the certifications you have received. Explain your specializations and the fields you are an expert in.

Your Background in Education

Your education also will help your audience get to know you. It gives them some ideas about who they are dealing with. Although not directly connected, a solid educational background can work towards building trust and assuring your clients they can trust you.

Your Value Proposition – What Makes You Different from Other Agents

In our view, this is the most essential part of a bio, not only for new Real Estate agents but for all agents, even those with years of experience. In the competitive real estate industry, too many agents try to get their share of the market and to do so, they are all marketing their services. They all try to tell their audience they are the best option for their needs.

That isn’t very important unless something separates them from the rest. After all, everybody cannot claim to be the best, but they can claim their unique service. This unique service is what sets some agents apart from others. It is what other agents do not or cannot offer. This is limited to you only, and you are the only one who can do it for your highly specific niche. What is it? What differentiates you from the other agents in your area? Have you thought about it?

Of course, this unique value you offer your clients should have tangible and desired outcomes. Make sure your bio clearly states how you are different and what you are giving them.

Any Achievements and Accomplishments

To impress your audience, consider any achievements and accomplishments you have had in life and business. However, they do not necessarily have to be related to Real Estate, but make sure they are remarkable enough to be worth the spot they get in your bio. Achievements tell your audience you are determined to reach your goals and will probably do the same if you work with them.

Your Hobbies and Interests

Your bio should give your audience a glimpse of who you are. With that in mind, it won’t hurt to share what you are into personally and discuss your hobbies and interests. This will help your audience imagine what kind of person you are and what it would be like working with you.

Takeaways

Do not worry about being new or having no experience. Everybody has to start someday. So do not let lack of experience get you down. Instead, focus on what you have. A Real Estate agent needs to have many traits that can be focused on and highlighted.

To get into a working mindset, you first should forget that you are new and do not yet have a brilliant history in the industry to brag about. Your bio is not a resume. You write it so your audience can decide if you CAN do what they need. Your history and experiences are just a part of that.

You might be nervous about writing the word “new” in your bio, but you do not have to, and it is okay if you entirely leave it out. In cases where you have no experience, you should focus on what you have. Your motivation, passion for helping your clients, why you got into the business, what you are looking for, and your values. Whatever you write should all be client-centered. Making money as an agent is not a convincing reason for the audience to trust you.

Evolving Bio

Last but not least, your bio will not be set in stone. It is a living document you will update as you grow more experienced. With every significant development in your professional life, you will have to add to your bio. Therefore, do not worry about a lack of experience. Once you close some deals, you can return and add these points to your bio.

Read More: How to Write a Memorable Real Estate Agent Bio: Build Trust & Gain Clients’ Attention

1.
